Books on growing a vegetable garden
I am pondering placing a few pots on my terrace (the rooftop of my building, actually) in order to grow some vegetables (beans, potatoes, carrots, squashes, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, some herbs, etc).
As a starter, I found worth reading this crash course on Container Vegetable Gardening from the University of Maryland.
These are some dead-tree books that look interesting (if you've read any of them, or know some other good books, please add a comment):
- The Vegetable Gardener's Bible by Edward C. Smith
- Bountiful Container by Rose Marie Nichols McGee & Maggie Stuckey
- The New Organic Grower by Eliot Coleman
- All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew (Author)
- You Grow Girl by Gayla Trail
- The Complete Vegetable & Herb Gardener by Karan Davis Cutler (et al.)
- Seed to Seed by Suzanne Ashworth & Kent Whealy
